Fake_Screen_Treat or Dream

Pitch: 

Treat or Dream ? is a survival horror and exploration game in third person view, inspirited by Mental Health in Cthullu, set in a 3D stylized dark universe.

​

Rules: 

  • Maximum 500 words.

  • Design a game that takes place in a haunted house.

Synopsis:

 

The player incarne a little boy or girl on vacation with his/her family in a hotel. The character has lost his family in the hotel, and he/she lost and afraid. His imagination transform the world in a terrifying place, where people becomes monsters. He/she wants find his/her family by explorating the hotel.

Concept:

  • Character:

    • Movements: Walk, Run, Hide.

    • No Attack: Characters can’t attack enemies.

    • Gauge: Character possess a gauge with fear (negative) and courage (positive). This gauge is affected negatively by the environment (sounds, enemies, shadows, forms and lights). When the gauge is empty, the character faints and restart in the hub.
       

    • Capacity:

      • The character use a special capacity when her gauge is positive (when she has courage). The capacity allow the character to said “You don’t be real” to transform monster in real person. When she use it, she gains courage.
         

 

  • Inventory: The character has a limited inventory to stock items.

    • Balls: Usable on the ground to slow down enemies.

    • Candies: Candies are consommables used by the character to gain courage. But, candies are uncommons.

    • Keys: The keys allows to open new areas of the game.

    • Flashlight: Light the way.
       

 

  • Environment: Environment is transform by the imagination of the character, in a dark and creepy environment.

    • Peoples: look like monsters (enemies).

    • Specials rooms: This type of rooms affect positively the gauge of the character, to gain courage. However, when the character is in this room, it is slowly transformed from the normal state to the scary state. When the room is entirely transformed, the gauge is affected negatively.  
       

 

  • Enemies: Enemies move in the level, and repair the character when he/she enter in his field of view. Enemies are faster than character.
     

  • Level: The character explore freely all rooms and corridors.
